Looking for Players in Western North Carolina

Postby SolomonBundy » Sat Apr 14, 2007 4:34 am

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to the board here, just joined a couple of weeks ago, and i hope this is the right place to put this topic.

But anyway i live in western north carolina. Haywood County to be exact. And i have been desperately looking for more players in my area to join my campaign, currently it is me playing as a hero, two of my friends, and very rarely do i have one more person. I would really like to have at least a couple more players. So if you are living in western north carolina, specifically around Cullowhee, or Asheville, or even in haywood county itself please get in touch with me.

If you have moved near Wake Forest University up in Winston-Salem that would put you about an hour and half form Monroe (and Charlotte).

I didn't realize that Haywood County was so far away form me. Wow. that is a distance.

I've not played Mutants and Masterminds, but I have played Silver Age Sentinels d20, how different is the systems?

I'm not sure what university I'm near really...although that sounds about right.

I haven't really played either system. But I have read up on both. There are some similiarites in some places like what powers are available, but I think combats done a little differently...actually gives the game a superhero feeling. Its not too complex as far as character creation (M&M), and the authors are really helpful. You can probably have a base-line character ready to go in 5 minutes.

Dunno what else to say really...so I'll stop for now. The supplements are good.

If you are interested in setting up a game, let me know. We'll get each other our phone numbers to talk about it.

Is there anyone in North Caroilna (especially the area around Charlotte, NC) who'd be interested in a f2f game?

killer. you're not that far from where I grew up... there is a comicbook store that is in Asheville that is really good. while i was in the VAMC there in Asheville they had offered to bring me the comics I wanted to buy.

I just wish that i could remember the name of the store. :(

And from what I was told, there was a group of gamers that had met there. I'll see if i can find the name for you.

that sounds very familire... the shop had a website, because that's how i found them (the VAMC hadn't gotten a wi-fi network and I could only get online when near an open window and jump in from an unsecured wi-fi from one of the apartments nearby). It was fairly close to the VAMC when i did a google map search.

Sorry i can't help. :(
