Mutants & Masterminds 3E Custom Character Sheets

Postby telriche » Mon Jul 01, 2013 10:58 pm

I have been making character sheets for various games and game systems for my group for a while now. My group has also been wanting me to put my character sheets up on the net as well.
Now I've decided to go ahead and just post the things. They aren't perfect, but they work rather well I think.
I have several versions; a printable version, a simple and limited auto-calc form sheet, and a version of the form sheet divided into single page files.
Here's the printable version. http://www.scribd.com/doc/151236905/TELRICHE-MNM3-CHARACTERSHEETv3-8
Here's the auto-calc form sheet. http://www.scribd.com/doc/151234961/Telriche-Mnm3-Charactersheetv3-8-Forms-Opt

And here's the individual files of the form.

I have begun work on some slight improvements to the previous sheets, because I'm like that, and I was wondering if anyone whos looked at this version has any suggestions for further improvements.

I'm already planning on adding a section under advantages for languages and some minor cosmetic changes, but I wanted to see if you all had anything else I might need to add or change. I'm particularly interested in the alternate form/minion page to see if it works well enough for those with these character features.

Thanks in advance! :D

*Also if anyone has seen the mook card post, if you could also let me know what could be improved on that, I would appreciate it.

I've completed a new version of the Character sheet I had made earlier. I've not had any input except from the players in my Mutants and Masterminds game, so if there's something you want to see on the sheet, let me know and I'll include it (I had no problem making custom sheets if theres a need for it). I've made several improvements, like new icons for a few sections, a new look the skill section, and languages known under the advantages page. Also other minor tweaks.

My fiance has also requested an openoffice spreadsheet charactersheet, since she prefers to use her laptop. I also have the initial sheet ready and uploaded. Keep in mind, you will have to save the document as ods (one of the bullet boxes when you select download) otherwise it will just save as a pdf (which makes it a little useless). Its also not at all useful to print, its a digital only character sheet. (Note: I've also noticed the ods file saves a read only, change the file settings in order to change and use it). The sheet has minor autocalc, very basic stuff.

Here's the new printable pdf sheet. I do not have a forms version yet:

That's a very impressive character sheet!
Thank you for including an open office version.

No problem. I have made it an odd sort of hobby doing this kinda thing. If you have any suggestions, feedback or requests, just let me know and I'll work on it.
Also, if you want to take the openoffice sheet and modify the hell out of it for your own purposes, have at it. I know that its barebones compared to many fully programmed spreadsheets and someone else that has more detailed experience with those details could really make a sheet like this into an even more handy tool.

Scribd forces you to buy a subscription to download. Are you really sharing these for free or do you want to force us to pay? If so, I would rather you sell them somewhere I have an account like OBS. Paying even $50 for an annual subscription seems like overkill to get a character sheet. The sheets look gorgeous, but you should be more upfront about your "sharing" method.

Subscription? I download documents all the time from scribd and I don't pay any subscription. Its totally free as far as I've ever known. Its the whole reason I use it. I do think it requires you to make an account to download, but still costs nothing as far as I've ever seen.
So... I really have no idea what you're talking about.

Righto. So I did just create a new account on scirbd to see if there was some sort of difference between my original account and the new one. It does require a subscription it seems on the new account. I honestly don't know why there's a difference, but there does seem to be.
I'm really sorry about that. I had no idea it did that. So, I will also post these files on another site for those who don't have accounts that can download for free on scribd.

Further update;
I did find that you still get free access if you upload a file to contribute to the scribd site. So for those having trouble, you have to create an account and upload something, doesn't have to be much, a short story or even form filled character sheets of old characters you made somewhere.
That said, I'm also willing to post all of this on another website for ease of access for others who don't want to do any of that. I'll look around, but I'd like to know where you folks would prefer it.

Use Dropbox or Google Drive to host your files.

You can host downloads for free, without the ridiculous hoops Scribd makes you go through, and without all the malware and ads that sketchy digital locker sites are full of.
