M&M simple character sheet

Postby Phantom_Doodler » Tue Dec 18, 2007 10:31 am

Has anyone designed a simple one page character sheet, resembling the NPC stat block? Personally, I find the idea of wading through 2 - 4 pages of numbers and information a little daunting. Here some essentials needed:

Simplified stats running horizontally, just like the stat block with modifier above stat value

Skills: Rather than list all of them just have a small blank table for the ones you want

Feats: Space for name and page ref

Combat: in boxes, Attack, Defence, Initiative etc

Injury and conditional tracker, running along bottom

Powers: name, rank, modifiers, page ref

Large space for picture

Character name, height , weight etc

If necessary. back of shett could have all the background gumf, such as origin, hometown, biography etc

Anyway. something to keep things nice and simple.

Looks like you may have to make something yourself then. Not sure if any character sheets like that actually exist.

do you know which fonts are used for the stat blocks ( in particular the wide and bold lettering used for STR WIS REFLEX etc) ?

Tells you on page 3 of the main rulebook which fonts have been used in the layout.

I made a graphic jpg sheet, if you have a paint program or some other form of graphic manipulation program. You can add text right onto it.
It resembles the stat block from the freedom city book, pretty closely.

I use this one when I build a character.

The link to it is in number 3 part way down the page. There are color and black and white versions.

Hope this helps.

I guess a lot of people wanted that sheet. (I'm the site owner and I don't recall the last time I exceeded the Geocities transfer limit.)

The sheet was done by the talented Cynthia Celeste Miller; I just put it up. There might be better places than my site, nowadays, such as E-Core.

By the way, Joshua, do you mind if I take that picture and make a fillable PDF from it?

I have a bare-bones version ready except for the picture. I don't create forms as part of my job, so anybody have an idea for how to insert the picture? Or does that have to be done when I create the PDF? (I sucked the JPG into a Word document and created the PDF from there, since it looked easiest, but I can do it with FrameMaker or--with much handholding--Photoshop instead.)

Anyway: I did just straight text fields because I could imagine exceptions for nearly everything, not even autocalculating modifiers because, well, there can be oddnesses there.

Ideas on the picture? (I mean, besides "print it out and glue a picture on it".)

I think my version of Adobe will let me insert pictures in there, but I could be mistaken.

Would you mind posting the barebones fillable pdf version of the sheet somewhere when you get the chance? And, if there's one perk that I'd like to see -- I can live w/out autocalculate and the like -- it would be the ability to change the color of the borders. Though that may be something that adobe can do on its own anyway? If so, then I'll happily manage it myself.

Thanks in advance.
