Sadly, part of how the internet works in general is that it's kind of like the Angels in Doctor Who. Things remain in a stable state only as long as at least one person is looking at them (and, oddly enough, people looking at them does sometimes lead to reproduction of the data). Problem is, if everyone takes their eyes off for long enough, it disappears and then your neck gets snapped.

Er... maybe not so much the last bit, but yeah. Enough people looked away and the group disappeared.
