Action figures with Mutants and Masterminds

Postby Royal Airforce » Fri Jul 02, 2004 2:53 pm

Okay, besides changing the scale so that one inch equals one foot, any recomendations for using action figures in M&M? I thought (because I'm demented) that it would be really cool to have as a four issue miniseries players bring their own action figure, stat them (And if you are using the cold weather hero with rocket launching action, you have to use it!), and use them in a M&M game with a very large scale.

About the only thing that I can think of would be to do it at the beach and use clipboards and giant sandcastles as the villains' hideout.

Other ideas?

We already use heroclix, but that isn't the point. I made a goofy suggestion at the top about using action figures in an adventure best suited for a one shot or miniseries.

No problem. 8) So what would you guys do if you had a one shot or miniseries with action figures? I think playing on a beach would be cool, but playing with character sheets isn't condusive to playing outside without something to hold them down.

Then, sandcastles would probably be on order. You can dig very big holes, take a plastic garbage can and place it upside-down in the hole with a hole in the bottom of the can (now facing up.) Fill up that said hole with sand and water. Use small child to stomp down sand. Whallah! Instant tower for your supervillains.

Interesting idea. You could also let them duke it out in you own living room or kitchen - The Sinister Lab of Dr. Shrinko! (The GM could even wear a lab coat :D )

did this with a mekton playtest once. Had little mecha action figures and had a mecha fight i nthe front room. Tape measures were i nuse. They could fight o nthe couches or tables or under chairs-using chair legs as cover. Silly stupid fun.

what kind of action figures are you thinking about using?
You must be proud, bold, pleasant, resolute,
And now and then stab, as occasion serves.
