The Annual Has Left the Building

Postby Steve Kenson » Mon May 10, 2004 12:55 pm

M&M Annual #1 has gone to print!

It's scheduled for a June release. More information as it becomes available. As you can see from the revised release schedule on the Green Ronin website, much M&M goodness is planned for this Summer and Fall.

I will be buying the Annual, as well as the revised M&M core book as soon as they come out! I'll be giving away my old M&M core book to a friend so hopefully, he can convert from Heroes Unlimited (yuck) to M&M.

Steve, this is great news.

a question, though. It took Nocturnals a bit more than two months to print and ship to the US and then to distributors. With the Annual going to print in almost the middle of May, can it reasonably see a June release? I'd think late July is more likely. Now, hopefully, you have a trick up your sleeves, cuz June would be preferable :-)

I'll have to make it a point to get this one. I love every M&M title that comes out. Thanks man!

Great News, Steve!

Now that its gone to print, can you give more of a break-down of whats in it? Please don't spoil the surprise, just a basic overview would be nice.

Thanks! And keep up the good work!!

We'll have to see about making another preview available. In the meantime, here's a breakdown of what you'll find in the Annual:

* Street Justice: Running "street level" superhero campaigns.
* Against the Gods: Using Greco-Roman mythology in your campaign.
* Legacy: Information on the Allies of Freedom and their modern inheritors and how to play "legacy heroes" (who take up the mantle of a predecessor).
* Freedom League: More history of the League and profiles of some of its previous members.
* The Claremont Academy: More detail on the layout and staff of the Claremont Academy and advice on running a teen heroes campaign.
* Freedom City 2525: A "possible future" for Freedom City, including the Freedom Legion, lots of villains, and how to run far future campaigns.
* With Great Power: Expanded power creation guidelines.
* Weaknesses: A more detailed weakness system, with different gradations of weaknesses.
* In Shining Armor Arrayed: Expanded rules for power-armor.
* Superhero Smackdown: Some optional and variant combat rules, including how to add attacks of opportunity to M&M (if you're so inclined).
* The Quality of Heroes: Hero Point variants and options.
* Capers: Five short adventures for Power Levels from 7-14 (centered around PL 10).
* The errata and corrections going into the second printing of the core book.

Technically folks buying both the Annual and the new printing of the core book are getting the errata twice, but it only takes up a few pages in the Annual which, as you can see, is packed with other stuff.
