Aura in 3e?

Postby cochramd » Fri Apr 25, 2014 10:11 am

The Emerald City Knights campaign I'm in right now is going to turn into a round robin game once we've gotten through the prewritten adventures in perhaps a month. I'm stepping up to the plate first, and for my first session I'm going to have White Knight and his numerous buddies in the KKK rain on Emerald City's annual Pride Parade.

So I'm writing up the stats on White Knight when I realized that was no obvious way to make an aura effect in 3e (other than the magic of GM handwaving). Can an aura effect be created in 3e, and if so, how?

Reaction Damage. :) Basically, it's how 2E Aura was built under the hood as well.

Energy aura is a sample power build in all the 3e books as well.

As FuzzyBoots and Monolith already said Energy Aura is in the Power Effects table from the Hero´s Handbook.

Also you can find it in page 107, as a Damage Reaction 4 points per rank.
The treachery of demons is nothing compared to the betrayal of an angel.
