Well, for some light hearted fun between saving the city adventures, take your typical high school hijinks and add super powers. Sky High is a good example to follow. And how different would Spiderman 1 have been if Flash Thompson had super powers too? Back in the M&M1e days, I was introduced to the...

If your main beef with Mutants and Masterminds is the time it takes to generate NPCs, why don't you just put a fancy description on the character templates? There are 27 in the core book alone, not counting the supporting characters or monsters and animals (I'm too lazy to count them!) Oner in the o...

Even if you don't like the other Crooks , you gotta respect the Atomic Brain! (especially since he's watching you from the upper left corner of your browser window!!   ) Seriously, it would be cool to see some (or all; Meta-4 fan here) of those characters statted. Is Super Unic...

From what I've heard its all the things that a player will need stripped out of the M&M core book. Things like the chapter on gamemastering would be my first guess on items removed. I think its a great idea; for those players who won't or can't shell out $40 for a book, this is a wonderful compromise.

IST Timeline

The group that introduced me to Mutants & Masterminds and then drafted me to run it new Freedom City and I didn't; I feel its always a bad thing when the GM is lthe east knowledgable of everyone at the table. So I dug through my boxes of super hero RPGs (I'm not saying I have EVERY supers RPG....but...

I've not killed anyone, but I've had players miss sessions here and there and fall behind in power points. I've not been running very long or very frequently, so I've only had one campaign reach the power points needed for a jump to PL 11. I track how many power points each character has received an...

Thanks for the compliment, K.G. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game. I have to give credit where credit is due. I'm just glad you mentioned in the friday session that you were not going to be there saturday, or I'd have been scouring the convention center trying to draft you into running agai...

Very nifty premise as well...
Time of Crisis is worth having, even if you have to update the stats for 2ed. Can't wait to see Time of Vengeance

Cover art?

I see by some of the posts here that I'm not the only one inspired by the M&M corebook to treat adventures like issues of a comic. Does anyone else here do cover art for their group? I scanned in images from the books, googled images, and even scanned CD album covers that sported appropriate art and...

Welcome K.G. I wasn't at the Con (living over the other side of the pond can put a damper on those kinda things), but it sounds like you had a ripper time. Good on ya! I do enjoy hearing others recounts of the Cons though. Cheers, Yes, I did have a great time. To be honest, my friends had been urgi...

Well, after reading this story there's not much I can say except... FAN-FRIKKING-TASTIC!!! It's pretty similar to the H.G Wells classic 'The Invisible Man', but nowhere near as dry. Also it's written from the first person viewpoint and it's written well (I've always found writing first-person style...

Homework

I was working last year for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit, one of the special education divisions in Pennsylvania. The students had a writing assignment; "What if you were invisible for 24 hours?" and they were supposed to use their imaginations. Very little in terms of expectations, but of course t...

New Frontiers - Origins 2006

I'm all about the new this year, it seems. Origins '06 was the first con I've attended, and it was fan-friggin-tastic! Did I see any of you there? I played Captain Thunder in the friday afternoon Freedom City Fracas, and that had to have been the best gaming experience of my life. The GM, Aaron Sull...
