A question about 'Trip'...
It says to makeyour Strength (or Dexterity) check if you hit with a trip attack. Does Super STR add to this check all?

Been awhile, I know! I mostly pop into the rules section now, since I'm involved in a monthly (or so) ongoing game.

Help me (re-)name my character!
So, my PC (of about 2 years now?) has recently undergone what's colloquially known as a 'radiation accident', resulting in a major change in powers. The setting is an alternate 80's Marvel universe, and we all play teen mutant heroes (M&M2e rule set). My character was the 'geek' (potrayed by Anthony...

Re: Help building "Detect Life"
The only issue you may run into, which needs talking with your GM, is the Penetrates Cover issue; different people feel differently about the need for this on exotic senses of this nature. My view is that when cover is not relevant to the sense stimulus, it doesn't stop that sense (that's why you d...

Help building "Detect Life"
So, my character has recently acquired the ability to detect life signs around him, but I'm trying to model what I want it to do so as to include the right extras/feats. I use the 'burning apartment building' as an example... if I want my character to be able to detect life signs within the building...

Improved Grappling- a question
So, grappling one-handed, essentially.
I imagine this is meant to allow for someone to press a button, or open a door, or something like that without having to disengage the grapple.
Would it allow for another attack or power to be used while engaged in the grapple?

Re: Healing- what can it actually do?
I guess this begs the question- how does one recover from the Fatigued condition?

Re: Healing- what can it actually do?
Ah, right, the Total extra. Very useful.
One other thing- can Healing help with poison and/or disease? What about fatigue? Unconciousness?

Re: Healing- what can it actually do?
Thanks for the replies! So, to be clear, it can't help someone recover from a "Stunned" or "Dazed" condition, since that's not actual 'damage', is that right? Also- it's DC10 across the board? Is there anything that would cause that to worsen? I guess my question is, with DC10, wouldn't anything mor...

Healing- what can it actually do?
In practice, I know it grants an immediate recovery check, and adds its rank to said check. What I'm not clear on is, what can actually be healed via this recovery check, and what's the DC that needs to be beaten? Dying? Disabled? Stunned? Staggered? Dazed? Nauseated? Bruised/Injured? (I listed them...

Clarification of the 'Action' Extra
I'm buying down a power that starts off as a full action to use it.
If I want to get it down to a free action, how many levels of the Extra do I need to buy?

Super Strength and Extra: Damaging
Can you add the Damaging extra to Super STR? I realize that it'd be more effective to simply buy up Enhanced STR, but house rules disallow combined powers in an array slot (in this particular example, Super STR is in an array). If it were allowed, it would simply add Super STR ranks to damage like p...

About the "Second Chance" feat
It says that you can roll again for a particular hazard or skill check with a consequence for failure. My question is in regard to its use against a hazard- does it apply only *once* per round, or as many times as the character is exposed to the hazard? For instance, say you've got someone with Seco...

Stopping Mimic cold?
I'm wondering, how would you make it so that a power is resistance to being Mimicked (via the power of the same name)?
Would it be Power Defense? Innate wouldn't really cover it... thoughts?

The question then becomes whether the entry in the core book is an accident, or the entry in UP is sloppy. I don't see any way to demonstrate one way or another, but we can see from Iron Poet whether later printings keep the language at least (or perhaps you have a late printing and can tell us). Y...
