Re: Storn Art Reboot

The swordswoman cover is awesome. I like the commissions, too, especially the were-croc.

Re: Storn Art Reboot

That is good stuff. I think you sell yourself short on the zombie makeup.

I'm frankly surprised by how much I like the gray-scale drawing. It looks phenomenal.

Re: Storn Art Reboot

I continue to love your Arion, Mage of Atlantis-style magical sigils, Storn. One of these days I need to play a mage so I can commission one of those. The face of the female sorcerer, in particular, is one of the more expressive I've seen from you in a while. I can't quite put my finger of why, but ...

Re: Storn Art Reboot

How about "Facet"? References both gems and the face. Love that portrait.

BTW, that pic alone is enough to sell me on your next PDF portfolio, Storn. (I'd also love to see the magic-user I commented on upthread ... ) Let us know if it becomes available?

Re: Storn Art Reboot

Of all the "casting spells" effects I've seen you do, I think that one is my favorite. (I also like the "Arion, Mage of Atlantis" one, with the three-D esoteric symbol overlaid on the hands. Dr. Strange artists use it a lot nowadays.)

Re: Storn Art Reboot

Heya, Storn, is that B&W line drawing any sort of homage to Jeff Dee's work, way back when? (Morgan Ironwolf for the win!) It gave me a nice feeling of nostalgia, for sure.

Re: Storn Art Reboot

I gotta say, you put that Norse swordswoman and the dual-wielding assassin in the same RPG Now Portfolio, and I'll buy it instantly.

Question on the falchion-wielder ... is that a (deadly) prosthetic (ouch!), or just a trick of perspective caused by the lower-res? I can't make it out.

Re: Storn Art Reboot

I like all of those, but I especially like Torque. If she'd been my concept, I would have asked for her second weapon to be a sort of post-apocalyptic coup-stick. https://www.google.com/search?q=coup-stick&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-beta&hs=WVw&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&t...

You've been reading the wrong Joker/Harley stories.

Re: Storn Art Reboot

I'm with DT on the showgirl costume. It's not out of lack of prurient interest -- oh, I'm prurient! -- but just because I think the "nearly naked" look is a less interesting costume. Here's a nice showgirl outfit that covers significantly more:

Re: Storn Art Reboot

I more or less completely agree with you, Storn. (I'll also point out what I consider to be the single best piece of art in 3.5, the full page of the adventurers standing on a ridge, looking down on the valley that houses the Caves of Chaos. Just incredible, and filled with the kind of wonder and ro...

Re: Storn Art Reboot

That marilith is awesome ... especially the snake texture you mention. (I'm not a gun guy, but if someone had asked, I would have said the longarm was a combat shotgun, not a full-auto rifle.)
