Re: Dual Shot Extra

What about the following Build? It seems to offer 2 options. The first splits the attack into a pair of DC 19 shots. The second focuses fire on one target, but does so with increased precision and a better chance to strike a telling blow. Blast 8 (PF: Split Attack, Drawback: requires 2 pistols (-1),...

Re: Dual Shot Extra

Would the following build work? Blast 8 (Drawback: requires handguns -1pp, Partial Flaw [applied to 4 ranks]: Limited only to Damage Calculations for Split Attack) This gives you a DC 19 attack against one foe or two foes alike. Apply the partial flaw to fewer ranks if you want increased DCs against...

Example: Bob has an 14 str (+2) and wields a long sword(+3) or a knife (+1). Normally, he does 5 damage with the hammer. He takes Weapon Master Strike 3 [long sword] for three points. He can spend a forth point to get Weapon Master Strike 3 [long sword, knife] So in this case, Bob would normally de...

nice looking settings

I'm definitely fond of the Gaslight Chronicles and the Dark November settings. Vampire Apocalypse seems a more common setting (which could still be done well), but the first to are nice standout material.

JD,

That is what I call service. Excellent build and speedy delivery.

I like how the various aspects of Paul were statted up. A very complex character who is reflected very accurately in your numbers.

JD,

I was looking for builds related to the Dune novels, the Mistborn trilogy, the Witcher or the novel "The Name of the Wind' if you are familiar with any of those.

I have utilized my meager forum search skills and come up with nothing thus far for Paul or any other the others. I agree that Bene Gesserit, Ghola and Mentat would be templates and that Duncan Idaho would be a complex build. Mistborn is a relatively new fantasy trilogy and The Name of the Wind is a...

Build request...Dune, Mistborn, the Witcher, Kvothe

In scanning the lengthy rosters in this forum, I have noticed some prominent characters from sci-fi and fantasy literature who are absent. Has anyone out there stated up: Characters from Dune such *Paul and company from house Atredies *Duncan Idaho *Ghola *Bene Gesserit Mistborn *Vin and the rest of...

Ronyon,

If you want your character to have a number of options in a grapple, you might buy an Array and apply the 'Requires Grapple' flaw from UP. I've thrown together a sample array in an earlier post http://www.atomicthinktank.com/viewtopic.php?t=31284.

1. With Improved Grapple you are fine for attacking someone else once you get a pin. If you are just in a grapple though, I would rule that it is too much of a fluid situation to make a ranged attack on someone. 2. Based on description, the character wants grappling finesse as he is obviously aware ...

If you are trying to represent a character being able to 'push' a specific power, it seems a reasonably balanced approach (you give up a great deal of flexibility for a reduction in cost). If you are trying to represent reliability with the power, stretching the definition of Second Chance might be ...

The character in question had 2 points of Strength bonus to which the Autofire extra had to be applied. I think my math is right there, but I'm open to corrections.

What about using the Gestalt Power?

Then you build a total of three characters:
1. The Pilot w/o the Mecha
2. The Mecha w/o the Pilot
3. The beautiful synergy of the Pilot and Mecha
