Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Nice build. Glad to help. Thank you very much! :D *mwahs* :P I recognize that UP had that, but personally, I see it as the same as the Wide Extra for Arrays, an idea which sounded good on paper, but which does not work correctly in-game. Technically speaking, the only "official" book is the Core on...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Sooo………bearing that in mind, I would say this now might be the final, correct version of this power lol…though I've certainly been wrong about that before, haven't I lol? Please let me know. Ok, thanks guys, everyone, you've all been really helpful, especially you, Kenseido! :D Psionic Radio-Electro...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Well, let's see, I looked it up in my handy-dandy UP , p. 110: “ FLAWS Alternate Powers can have their own individual flaws, which reduce the cost of the Alternate Power (and the number of Array power points that must be allocated to it) normally. If a particular flaw applies to all the configuratio...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Alright, so, I think this should be all correct now. I'd appreciate it if anyone could take a few minutes to look it over and confirm or deny that for me. :D Thanks everyone! Psionic Radio-Electrofusion (Psionic, Nuclear; Boost all powers [ Power Feat: Dynamic ; Flaws: Personal , Source (fusi...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Actually, to get that effect from Transform, you make it Continuous and Innate. Oh yeah, true. But then I guess my character could still “un-transform” the matter if she chose to, which doesn't really fit with my concept I have in mind… Hmmm…as I look at it now, I think that, to make it balanced, i...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

So I would think…and please do let me know if you see any technical errors here…that the final draft of the power array should look a little something like this: Psionic Radio-Electrofusion (Psionic, Nuclear; Boost all powers [ Power Feat: Dynamic , Flaws: Personal , Source [fusible elements lighter...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

As for absorbing other forms of energy, unless they can make their powers stronger than normal, an immunity, or limited immunity, would probably be better than absorption. And faint traces of radioactivity would probably be best handled by noticeable drawback. Matter eater can represent injesting m...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Okay, I'm back lol! :D Sorry, my personal life is always so hectic that I never quite know when I'm going to have time for anything else! :!: The character isnt sucking up ambient energy, they are creating a mini-fusion reaction and absorbing that energy to power their psionics. You're quite right, ...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

I meant direct the energy being released away from you. If the energy is always relased around the character, the range is touch. If the character can direct it away some nearby people are unharmed, then it is ranged. Oh yeah, then I guess it's touch lol. Sorry, I'm falling asleep lol. Pick this di...

kenseido wrote:Glad you got the reference.

Since you are going with Disintegration, unless you can direct the effect, I would pick Corrosion due to the No Range factor.
Oh, true. But wait though, they can direct the effect, it's one of the AP's. :D

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

Well I personally would go with a straight Damage effect, instead of Disintegration ("NO DISINTEGRATION."), but otherwise it looks good. Lol haha yeah, “No Disintegrations” lol. From Star Wars. But the only reason I chose Disintegration over straight Damage, is to simulate the extremely destructive...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

I would probably do it as a Boost and AP the Area Burst Damage. Maybe make it Dynamic, with the thought that if you don't want to absorb all the energy created (simulated by the Boost), some of it is released as damage - or more likely, you don't want to do full damage, so you absorb some of it. I ...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

And for what it's worth, I totally get where you are coming from with wanting to match the exact power. I was working on a solar battery character, who had a reserve of energy replenished by sunlight. So each use when out of sunlight made it weaker. When I discussed it here, everybody suggested Pow...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

So maybe the effect is an Area Burst Damage effect. You wouldn't need to worry about the Transmute part, since the energy released would likely damage/destroy the transmuted material as well. Right, true, and that is what I was originally thinking, except that she usually is trying to absorb the Da...

Re: 2E, Trying To Figure Out How To Build This Complicated Power

I agree. If it's just a power source, there's no need for it to be a power. Lol, that is what I figured people would say lol… From earlier: “M&M is an effects-based game. The nuclear thing doesn't need to be its own power, just give the character the Power Loss drawback, When There's No Matter To F...
