Re: Atlas of Earth-Prime: Canada

Well, we do have to suspend disbelief in real life every time there's an election, to a certain extent anyway... ...Which is just one of the many reasons I stopped voting several years ago... It's like when I was a little kid and the dentist would ask "what flavor fluoride would you like?" a...

Re: Atlas of Earth-Prime: Canada

Monolith & Kyle... +1 to each of you... Those were the exact points that came to my mind, too... But I figured this was probably going to be one of those "Matthew already has his mind made up" situations and I didn't wanna add fuel to the fire...

Re: Atlas of Earth-Prime: Canada

Loved Scott Bennie's work for years (my first real exposure to his work was around Champions 4th Ed). As he wrote Champions of the North (Hero 5th Ed version) and he's written for Green Ronin before and he's Canadian and he's brilliant at what he does, if anything, he's overqualified for this partic...

Re: S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Series by Whedon

Latest episode... Gotta say, I didn't see that twist at the end coming... And that's a good thing.

...And we've been shown that "GH" in "GH-325" apparently stands for "Guest Host," which is one, small mystery solved...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?

Okay, Cap'n,,, Both were discontinued way too early, triggering near-Firefly level nerdrage in me...

...And no one wants to see that kind of nerdrage coming from a mole... It's just not a good thing...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?

But it wasn't her hitting him with a lightning bolt, it was her forcing him to say his magic word. D'oh! I had to review that episode, but I see what you're saying now. The subtitles on Netflix just say "[CASTING SPELL]," which doesn't help any, but I think Zatanna says "Tulb tou MAZAHS!," if I'm h...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?

Out of curiousity, why wouldn't that work? The Billy Batson/Captain Marvel transformation takes place when Billy/CM says the name "SHAZAM," summoning the transforming lightning bolt. Generally, Billy/CM has to say the word and actually be struck by the lightning bolt to transform... I only vaguely ...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?

Its worse than bad.... its the one thing that is worse than just being bad.... Its terminally mediocre. A terrible state of affair where the best thing that could be said for it is that yes it does exist. +1. A:EMH was pretty good, but not brilliant (certainly not as good as Young Justice , but I d...

Re: [Green] Arrow TV Series

Eh... At best, I have mixed feelings about this episode. Sara's gone? Can't say I'm overly affected by that one. Roy's being kept sedated to keep him from going on more psychotic killing sprees? Once again, no big deal. Ollie has a kid that he doesn't know about and Moira's been keeping more secrets...

I think maybe a good, old fashioned flogging would probably do the trick. Why reinvent the wheel when you have a tried and true method that's been around for thousands of years?

Re: Weight

It's not going to be compatible with real world physics (assuming relatively normal human proportions, he'd be roughly twice as dense as osmium)... But that's the case with pretty much anything in comic books. That said, +1 to JDRook's response. It depends on whether the extra weight will benefit or...

Re: Why isn't Captain Marvel more popular?

My introduction to Captain Marvel was "The Shazam!/Isis Hour" back in the '70s. It's funny how many television shows I remember watching at that age, as I hadn't even started elementary school yet. My perspective was a lot different back then, but I remember the major details frighteningly well. I f...
