Re: Searching for ideas for Claremont Academy game

Hmm. It just dawned on me that I referred to Dr. Doom's country as "Latvia" instead of "Latveria".

Re: Searching for ideas for Claremont Academy game

I ran a Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters game (X-Men) for a while. Here are some of the things that I used in it. We did have only a small class of 6 students, but maybe some of these ideas can be of use to you? Please be aware that all of this is what I can remember off the top of my head (I’m...

Re: Avengers Arena: The Last Straw.

...I loved Avengers Academy (well, except that they were forced to participate in Marvel's "crossover of the week" every couple of issues). They were some really interesting characters and their potential was really great. So I knew that I shouldn't have done it... but I picked up the first issue of...

Re: Red Circie returne!

I loved it. They're doing what I think other companies should be... aging their characters, keeping the sense of history and accomplishment intact and bringing in a new generation of legacies to carry on. I can't wait for #2!

Re: Did they ever cover this?

If you're asking whether or not they covered any ground beside "yeah, they were imprisoned by the skrulls"... I don't think so (though I'm not exactly the most thorough collector of comics). I seem to remember some characters being in a support group of some kind to help them readjust to life back o...

Re: Young Justice Animated Series

I really enjoyed it! I'm psyched to see the inclusion of Wonder Girl (Hurray for it being Cassie!), Beast Boy, Lagoon Boy and Blue Beetle! Honestly, I thought many of the characters from Season 1 and 2 feel kind of flat for me so I'm totally onboard to see how Season 3 pans out! I wish the new Teen ...

Re: Whom are the Smartest People in Comics?

There is this fun novel called " Soon I will be invincible! " by Austin Grossman whose main character (Dr. Impossible) was diagnosed with "malign hypercognition disorder." Basically the premise is that the smarter the individual, the more likely that they will not be able to abide by societies rules...

Re: Cadre 5:

I think my most favorite character initially was Brian...but I agree that he is probably the least developed character (though he follows in the tradition of many great comic leaders - such as Cyclops used to be - of coming across a little "dry and stable"). He's got a lot of "built in" points (like...

Loving the storyline! Having been raised Southern Baptist and being gay, your story hit home on several points. I've also turned on a couple of my heathen friends to your work. Keep up the great writing!!

Re: Children of the Mythos

This thread sparked off a conversation between a group of us the other night about just what having DNA from a Mi-go, Nightgaunt or Deep One (not to mention things like a Hound of Tindalos!) would do to a person... what kinds of powers, defects and personality traits would possibly manifest...
