Issues 1-4 exist exactly as written. I didn't start writing up the sessions until issue #5, so I wrote up what I remembered. That's all there is. Sorry.

I'd figure a round of strenuous action would count as two rounds. Average Joe (con 10), sitting still, quiet, 10 rounds, 1 min. Moving, fighting, running, etc, 5 rounds. 30 sec. Even that seems generous. Maybe half actions count as two rounds. Maybe full actions count as three rounds of air. So, Joe...

Could be something to do with Storn's great picture of Pauly the Bear, (cigar-chompin', whiskey-swillin', gunslingin' polar bear.)

Call me a socialist, but you're going to have to make the government supervillain-style evil. Among their crimes, I'd suggest, war for profit, massive organized public deception, cover-up on behalf of corporate buddies, arbitrary detention, covert execution, illegal experimentation on people, brainw...

I'd probably treat it like I won a big lottery jackpot. Keep quiet, reflect, plan, and really consider what you'd do. I'd probably keep my life as normal as possible, for a while at least. Flight? I would have to try that out! Night time though, with face hidden, wearing nonspecific, non-identifiabl...

City of Heroes on 33.6/56K

City of Heroes looks like a lot of fun, but I only have a 56K modem, and due to crappy phone lines, I only get about 33.6K most of the time.

Will City of Heroes be worth it at 33.6K?

Differing PL's, or differing combat capability can be a problem. However, good players, like you, make a good game. Then it doesn't matter the difference in combat effectiveness. I've been in a political campaign where one of the PC's could have easily blasted all the other players to meat in about ...

Differing power levels at the starting point can work in a campaign. Lyons by Night (political Vampire campaign set in pre-revolutionary France) went quite well. You have to have either a mature group that can handle it, or the more powerful ones have to have the maturity to act subtlely with their ...

Thank you for great work on the Pugilist. He's a character that has a lot of potential, and you wrote up some good stuff.

Naturally, you didn't spill all the beans. You just gave me a great reason to buy Noir.

Dammit.

Yeah, intimidation doesn't require physical force. The ultra fat mob boss, or Jabba the Hutt, aren't scary because they are physically powerful. They are scary because, they can, if they so wish, kill you, destroy you, torture you, etc. It's not them getting their hands dirty, but the knowledge of t...

Re: 1:3 rule, should it be used?

I was thinking about inluding the 1:3 skill rule in my games but it seems to make many feats obsolete. Like talented or skill focus. Why spend 2 power points on a feat that gives you plus 3 or even plus 4 skill points when spending 2 power points will get you 6 skill points anyway? Maybe I am missi...

Ah, I thought that "Seeds of Destruction" was a Terminus plot. I misremembered or misread. However, at the end, they suggest the adventure may have been a tactic in a larger plot. Someone on the boards suggested that Terminus forces may "boost" unknowing villains to create mayhem, making it easier f...

Yeah. Me and my friends started a quick and dirty campaign, and rather than write characters, they grabbed the archetypes from the front of the book. It became a bit of a pain when we continued on, and we had to reverse engineer the characters to figure out what their current stats were.
