Re: Collected Power Profiles Book?

Can't say that I like the new store. Ordered the PDF, received an email with the link (inferior, IMO, to the old store that had a download link right there), but the link doesn't work. Says to wait a few minutes and I've moved into the many minutes phase (also inferior to the old store that allowed ...

Re: Driving a WarMachine

Is poison the only problem you are having? If so, just add an Immunity to poison in the powers of the suit.

But frankly, anyone driving a Protectorate jack deserves to be poisoned.

Re: Heroes & Villains Volume I

Did I miss something or Deathstroke's unarmed attack/damage is wrong? He is strength 7 and with his unnarmed skill ranked at 17, but in his statblock are, respectivelly, 18/8 for attack and damage... You're half right. Close Combat: Unarmed is +17, but then he has a single rank of Close Attack unde...

Yes, they are horribly overstated in fiction, but then that's what the super-hero genre is all about, yes?

Re: Expertise

Speaking as a Chemical Engineer (even if I don't do that anymore) I can say my in depth chemistry training (2 semesters each of gen chem, organic chem, and physical chem, plus analytical chemistry) exposed me to absolutely ZERO biology. I disagree that Expertise: Chemistry could make checks fit for...

Re: Ranged Area Burst

It's actually really common in genre for missiles to explode even after missing their target (with the blast knocking the plane around, ect...). You could also say the missile has a distance/proximity/pilot activated trigger to detonate it. Of course if you want to play it a different way that's fi...

Re: Ranged Area Burst

The book's example for Partial Modifiers deals directly with Partial Area (pg124 DCA/pg136 M&M3e). From my reading it goes like this: If it hits, the primary target takes the full damage (11) and everyone around him takes the area (8). If it misses everyone just takes the area damage (8) including ...

Re: Hyborian's Workshop [WIP: Taliesin's Write-Ups]

Those look amazing, Hyborian! I have just one minor suggestion, and that is with the arrangement of the defensive stats. I would put Toughness on the first line by itself (as it is somewhat special that way), with Dodge and Parry following it (as they are the balance to Toughness), then Fortitude an...

Re: FREE DCA QUICKSTART RULES - with Superboy and Knockout

It's a nice quick start doc, but it doesn't help that they quote incorrect information about the characters' stats. They claim in the adventure that Superboy's Parry defense is +10, while it's actually +9.

Shapeshift

So reading the description of Shapeshift on page 116, and looking at the Shapeshifter archtype on page 40, it appears that this version of Variable includes an implied application of Morph (at a rank determined by the Shapeshift descriptors). However, the cost does not seem to reflect this. So is th...
