New Brunswick Canada

Hey all,

looking for anyone interested in a game in the Oromocto/Freddy area of New Brunswick. Obviously if, like me, you hang out at CFB Gagetown that would be sweet.

transfrom vs. transmutation (1e)

I'm still trying to get a copy of 2E so far now pls. humour me as I question a specific 2e power vs. a 1e power. Reading the descriptions and such... how similar is transform to transmute? they seem... *similar* but transform seems much more broad... am I correct? B/C transform seems to have some po...

Quantum/Doctor/Phoenix wannabes

Hey all, I have someone who is interested in trying to create a reality-warper character... In the vein of Jenny Quantum/The Doctor/The Phoenix (Grant Morrison version). Obviously I don`t want quite this much raw power running around but we've been working on a possible substitute... Cosmic Power +1...

reality warping/willworking

Hey all, I have someone who is working on the concept of a reality warper. Not in the sense of changing everything but more in the sense of the X-men's enemy Proteus or a very weak Franklin Richards. Transmutation SEEMS like a logical power. Any other suggestions of where to go with this? Player is ...

Sorcery and the Doctor from Authority

Hey all, I'm working on creating a little baby-Doctor type character. The thing is I'm not super-interested in having ALL the powers (like dimensional travel etc) but I felt that Transmutation is an important one to the character (based on his transforming stuff ALL the time). But sorcery doesn't of...

Destruction extras attached to Transmute

Hey all, I was wondering at the pricing for the destruction extra that damages people when destruction is purchased as an extra to transmute. I re-read the rules regarding purchasing extras for extras but I'm not entirely sure what disintegrates extra would cost as a stand alone power... is it simpl...

I see,

Your logic seems pretty solid. I guess my only concern was really that there is no "set" reaction chart for emotional responses. But then again the GM can always make that call one would assume.

thanks

empathy - how do you use it?

Hey all, After skimming through another book I had an idea for something I wanted to explroe with a character. Basically the character would have telepathy (extra mind blast) (limited emotions only). The mind blast would represent a short of rapid fire firing of emotional synapses and such. Now the ...

trapster, thanks that was the rule I was looking for. And I, in my belief that nothing could be that easy, I didn't look for it!!! the solution seems fairly obvious. Does this make sense? Make a robot (PL 8 let's say) who has all the powers but a 0 int. The robot has the sidekick feat. the sidekick ...

Hmmm, thanks for the time limit answer. I figured something like that was in order but it isn't really explicitly stated. but some powers would seem... silly with a duration of instant :) what I meant by power stun was: purchasing a power stunt for variable effect or gadget. This power stunt would i...

Tom Skylark/Sentinel

Hey, Another question in a different vein. I was looking to work up a character for a teen series sort of based of the Tom Skylark character from Morrison's X-men or the character from Sentinel. How would YOU work up a character who controlled a single machine but that machine was a mega-bad robot? ...

gadget/variable effect power stunts

Hey all, I was curious. Does anyone think it is possible to give gadget/variable effect power stunts? In the sense that someone has mimicked the power enough that for them it is second hand. Or does this in essence break the power? I'm a little torn. Also: something I can't figure out. what is the t...
