Re: Need superhero Maps.

"Superhero maps" is a bit of a nebulous description.

What sort of areas are you looking for maps of?

And for those that don't use Battlegrounds VTT, what format do the maps need to be in? jpg? gif? png?

Re: other ways to build robots

The standard unliving creature is built as: Constitution -- Immunity 30 (fortitude effects) Sometimes that strikes me as a bit much, though. It works for something like a golem, where the goal of the concept is to wade through various effects like they aren't even there, but it doesn't seem to work...

Scene 1:

Indy's bedroom. A copy of H.G Well's "War of the Worlds" lies on the bedside cabinet.

Indy wakes up with a frown, and mutters "What a strange dream."

Re: No Dex bonus to defense?

40 points out of 150 might sound cheap, but then you also need to buy ability scores (maybe 30 points), get your saves (especially toughness) to a reasonable level (another, say, 25 points), get some Feats (10 points?) and skills (10 points for 4 skills at a level commensurate for a PL10 pc). That l...

Unless we are supposed to get a reflex save (as its an area), in which case your evasion would have, at the very least, reduced the effect.

Re: Combat System Hack for forum-based play?

Definitely don't wait for initiative order posts. Include options in advance (IF that misses, I will us a hero point. If NPC1 falls before my turn, I'll attack NPC2. If Big Bad escapes the webbing in his turn, I web him again, otherwise I punch the henchman) If you make NPC defence values public, pl...

Re: Map Making Tools

I use a very old free copy of Paintshop Pro for all my map-making, making full use of the layers to make moving furniture and stuff easier. EG, this is the asteroid base of a band of pirates for my Star Wars campaign. http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s52/Mayhem_2006_album/BASEGIF.gif The original ...

Re: Teleport unwilling subjects

I see a grapple as a bit more involved than simply grabbing someone just long enough to activate Teleport. But that's all it is; a melee attack to grab the opponent (standard action), and an opposed grapple check to hold, then the move action to teleport (allowing a Reflex save to resist), and a fr...

Re: Teleport unwilling subjects

My thinking was that you'd have to grab and hold them before teleporting - a normal attack doesn't include the holding on part.

Re: Teleport unwilling subjects

If you have to go along with the subject, I'm not sure it even needs the attack extra.

Just Initiate a grapple and teleport.

Hawk Girl Toughness save 1d20+8=9 Don't know the DC, but that's way too low, so time for a hero-point re-roll. Re-roll 1d20+8=20 Will post next action depending on whether wounded or not. "Curse, you, I expected you to be down by now!" swears Shai'ra, her confidence in being able to drop this primi...
