Re: Normal Identity

I generally use a Container to build the super if there is a Normal ID.

Add (or subtract) for stats, build powers, bonus to skills, etc. And, have two character sheets- one fore normal and one for super.

Also I highly recommend Hero Lab, made my life so much easier when I started GMing again.

Ice control - whow! Whow!! Ouch that hurt!

So one of my players is playing a character with ice control. He wants to make an ice slick to put people on their arses, not just hamper their movement but actually make them slip and fall, and have it there next turn, and the next without having to put it into an AP and leave the whole AP locked u...

Re: Attractive

Beyond a certain level, beauty and attraction are subjective, so to me Attractive does not mean being more appealing on an objective scale. I interpret it as knowing how to use your looks to manipulate people, and if I see Attractive 2 on a character I am more likely to think 'vamp' than 'hot'. Whe...

Re: Attractive

I suspect that I might often forget the caps when it comes to attractive, perhaps because I (myself) often fall for whatever a beautiful woman says or does. :D

Attractive

The Feat - Attractive What do you all think of the Feat? Is it just a skill bump purchase feat or does it actually tell you something about the character? Do you just assume that all PCs have it without the skill bump (meaning- all characters are good looking.... hay, they are super heroes)? I have ...

Re: Passive or Active Skill - Sense Motive

Fuzzy, I was unaware of that Feat. I would have made the conclusion jump off of that. Emm, seems a simple mistake. Editors and writers can not cover all fronts. Perhaps... its an edition thing- I am running 2e. What edition does that Feat appear in? (I find it confusing that an edition would make th...

Re: Passive or Active Skill - Sense Motive

'k thanks

Basically tells me I have been a jerk.

Of course it has made for some interesting play.

I will drop them a couple more Hero Points and explain (they could use the HP they are about to go up against a big bad). :D

Thanks 8)

Re: Secret ID problem

So one of the villains that our hero outed had something bad happen. Hazard's mother was held hostage by a ruthless vigilante then when she did not show in time the vigilante murdered her. Hazard arrived late, and had an emotional breakdown on her childhood home's front steps, then exploded, damagin...

Passive or Active Skill - Sense Motive

So an NPC is lying to the PCs, the Players trust the NPC so they believe him, saying nothing about Sense Motive. My general rule as a GM is to let the players roll whenever they say- "is this person lying?" or "does he believe the load he is dishing?" or whatever fits the interaction. I will general...

Re: Secret ID problem

Story Doc, campaigns to me are all about the story I try to have two fights per six hour session, if the session is longer I might have more, but that depends on the campaign. Following leads the PCs run into colorful characters, have conversations that circle the clues, give the players a chance to...

Re: Secret ID problem

I have a plan." I wish I could tell you what it is.... the Player is a regular here, lurking in the call concealing shadows and all, so I will not say, but I think its a fair idea that might hit home with him. Thanks to you both  This should hold the campaign out of the dark side and make m...

Re: Secret ID problem

Ya, that helps, and I think you guys are right. On thing he- Jay is doing is making villains that not only want to kill him but making them desperate, because they have no where to hide, no where to relax, because their IDs are going public and that is not good for them. Emm- okay, thanks, I have a ...

Secret ID problem

Okay, little set up first. The PCs and some of the NPCs (villains and heroes) have similar origins in that they acquire a medallion that gives them power (the medallions are powerless after giving them the power). They can change into a different person and use their powers, basically giving them tw...

Thank you for your suggestions, I will try to let you know how he murdered us- I mean, how we defeated him.

Re: Adamant rampage

Reduce his gravity so he kinda just floats there and/or fling him into outer space at 3000+ mph? Grabbing him (hitting), is not a problem, I think I could full Power Attack and get him. The problem is that I can't hold him long enough, maybe one round at best and the TK speed is not 0 to 3000 mph i...
